Frozen Sparkling Pink - Tonic

Food, Styling & Photo: Oliver Schwarzwald

We have noticed the internet trend of freezing fruit or vegetables and then grating them over a wide variety of dishes. Yes, it's not new, but it's nice to see that gherkins are now being frozen alongside strawberries and nectarines to add flavour to all kinds of dishes as tasty ‘snowflakes’. I'll try out the gherkins for you!

If anyone has an idea for a non-alcoholic drink with ‘gherkin snow’, let me know!

But for now, we're focussing on our Sparkling Pink again and creating a wonderful frozen drink from it! I never tire of developing new variations for our great product.

Simply freeze the Sparkling Pink in cubes, preferably in a silicone mould for large ice cubes. Then grate vigorously over a grater into a nice coupette glass. We now simply top the delicious Verjus flakes with a good tonic of your choice. This method of presentation is not only visually appealing, but also adds a special flavour thanks to the change in texture.

A top drink, completely alcohol-free and low in histamine!

Cheers,

friends
