Vinada - Zero Alcohol - Tinteling Tempranillo
As mentioned in the Crispy Chardonnay Review, the lack of alternatives was responsible for Jessica van Spaendonck - van der Kist founding her own label, Vinada. Besides the very good Crispy Chardonnay, there is also an appealing rosé, Tinteling Tempranillo. A non-alcoholic sparkling from Mancha, the largest wine-growing region south of Madrid. As the name Tinteling Tempranillo suggests, it consists entirely of Tempranillo grapes. This grape variety is the number 1 of Spanish red wines. The name Temparillo contains the word Temprano and means "early". This means that this grape variety belongs to the early ripening varieties. It is characterised by small berries on the grape and a thick skin. The latter brings colour as well as tannins to the basic product.
The de-alcoholised Sparkling foams vigorously. But it has a pleasant and persistent perlage. On the nose, after opening the bottle, which is sealed with a real cork, there are indeed hints of the vanilla note described on the label. Otherwise, it remains grapey and acidic. The fruit aromas range from berry fruits to hints of strawberries. Fruit and acidity are well and pleasantly balanced. The tannins from the skins come to the fore on the finish, giving this non-alcoholic alternative enough credibilty to make it clear that this is an adult beverage. The Tintelin Tempranillo, is very suitable for drinking neat. Social drinking without complications. Drink and drive? No problem!
