Florentina Spritz alcohol free - Pierre Chavin
Light bitter orange
Florentina Spritz was created by Domaine Pierre Chavin. A manufacturer who, according to the Internet, aims to occupy a leading position in the offer of non-alcoholic products. A dedicated project. There is a lot happening in this sector, and with products such as Jörg Geiger's Bratbirne, Blå from Copenhagen Sparkling Tea, or the range from Muri, the benchmark is already pretty high in terms of complexity and inventiveness. To be fair, it must be mentioned that the latter can be found in the price segment starting at 20 €, while Florentina starts significantly lower at around 10 €. That would definitely be an argument in favor of the Spritz.
The nose is dominated by citrusy bitter orange zest and a bit of yeast and a certain spice that is hard to put in proper order. Then grapey on the palate but unfortunately a little bit thin. But surprisingly well done with the bitter orange zest and a hint of vanilla on the finish. As a topper for non-alcoholic vermouth with verjus, the Florentina is certainly a nice alternative to tonic or 0.0 % sparkling wine. Also pure, as an uncomplicated non-alcoholic Spritz, quite decent and as mentioned fairly priced. With this product, Pierre Chavin has not particularly complex fireworks achieved, rather a solid summer drink with a bitter note, which I have not yet found in the form of any other non-alcoholic Sparkling. Worth a try, cheers sober buddies!
