Rosé Kombucha from the North

In 2020, siblings Vibeke and Christian Arensbak founded ARENSBAK gourmet drinks. By working together with experienced sommelière Emilie and food scientist Bram, they were able to bring their vision to reality. A terrific partnership that not only enabled the development of the basic idea behind ARENSBAK, but also stands for invovatie recipes and the production methods. Together with other brands, Denmark is a driving force in the field of proxies!

The product portfolio of the Copenhagen-based brand includes Arensbak White, Red and Arensbak Effervescent as well as the Arensbak Rosé presented here. A kombucha on a green tea base with aromas of pink pepper, hibiscus and rose.

The design is, as expected, Nordic simple. The bottle opens with a wonderfully rich pop. The perlage is neat and persistent. As always, this is an advantage for a food accompaniment, for which Arensbak Rosé is perfectly suited. Seafood and salads are perfect here. But also a little stronger touches. We served it with a gratinated chicory. The slight bitter notes in the steamed salad are well absorbed by the acidity in the Arensbak.

The latter is, as mentioned, very pleasant and neither spicy, as with other kombuchas. One reason is certainly the green tea base, which often results in milder and lighter kombuchas. The aroma is slightly reminiscent of wild berries, with notes of rose and hibiscus mixed in. Pink pepper also plays a role and gives the drink its special note.

This unique combination gives the Arensbak Rosé Sparkling a subtle and at the same time refreshing note. A touch of oak gives the drink a subtle depth and rounds off the overall picture harmoniously. Fully recommended!
