Freedl - Citrino - Nonalcoholic
No Shanty, Baby!
I'm a big fan of refreshing, cold Shanty. No matter what time of year. My favourite thing to do is mix my own non-alcoholic beer, and I like to do it in special variations. If you would like to read more about this, please click here.
And of course there are plenty of non-alcoholic ready-to-drink shandies. Where light and shadow can also be close together here. To be honest, I have not yet drunk a really convincing non-alcoholic Shanty. This may be due to the fact that flavourings are often added. However, the latter are in a category of their own, because Freedl's Citrino is a craft beer with lemon.
FREEDL is a non-alcoholic craft beer that has its roots in the Alps, in South Tyrol to be precise. This endeavour not only focuses on the artisanal production of top-quality non-alcoholic beers, but also on the idea of establishing a new drinking culture. Freedl is building an unconventional bridge here and starting to reinterpret the South Tyrolean quality mentality of craft beer. Anyone who has ever been to South Tyrol knows how good the cuisine is, which combines Alpine, Mediterranean and Central European influences. The bar is set high. The brewery, Pfefferlechner, which has been producing Italy's first non-alcoholic craft beer since 2019, succeeds in doing this very well.
Freedl Citrino is impressive, and not just because of its very successful design, the crown cork! This Pale Ale has the specific fruity-spicy flavour with distinctive bitter notes. The lemon zest enhances the freshness and gives the beer a pleasant citrus flavour. This complements and enhances the fruity flavours of the Pale Ale. A harmonious combination of the existing citrus flavours of the beer and the fresh, lively note of the lemon. Incidentally, the lemon is used as a natural ingredient and there are no added sugars or artificial flavourings. Not only sustainable, but also delicious. Try it!
Cheers sober buddies!
